Have No Fear, Kotik Is Here! Get ready for a celebratory concert for Petr Kotik

The composer, flutist, conductor and the founder and artistic director of the Ostrava Center for New Music, Petr Kotík, celebrated a significant life anniversary at the end of January. On this occasion, we decided to organize two unique concerts.
Tuesday, April 26th, 19:00 @ PLATO, Ostrava
Thursday. April 28th, 19:00 @ DOX+, Prague
The concerts will feature world premieres of compositions that were written on this occasion and dedicated to Petr Kotík. Among the congratulators in the form of the authors of these compositions are Christian Wolff, Bernhard Lang, Petr Cígler, Petr Bakla, Phill Niblock, Daniel Skála, Ana Sokolović and Anna Heflin. There will also be a performance of a Petr Kotík's new piece Piano Piano.
The concert will be performed by Ostravská banda, a pianist Daan Vandewalle and a violinist Hana Kotková. Bruno Ferrandis, Jiří Rožeň and Petr Kotík will perform as conductors.
