Vladimir Benderski, actor and performing artist. Born in Odessa, Ukraine; student of architecture, visual arts, and philosophy of science in Israel. Art director at major Israeli advertising agencies. Since 2002, he has lived in the Czech Republic, where he devotes himself to theater. Selected works: Tango s Avidanem (Tango with Avidan, one man project), Tucet (Dozen, one man project), Mamut mamut (Mammoth Mammoth, Divadlo Kámen), GOLEM Štvanice (Ivo K. Kubáks and Marie Novákovas “immersive project“), Den opričníka (Day of the Oprichnik, Tygr v tísni). He sees theater as a tool of self-discovery, self-realization and self-improvement. He focuses on profound inner experience and precise acting, seeking new ways and experiments.
