Intellectually and vocally, Holger Falk is one of most flexible singers on German stages," the magazine "Opernwelt" wrote. His opera engagements have taken him to the Theatre de la Monnaie Brussels, Theatre Champs Elysées Paris, Teatro Real Madrid, Bavarian State Opera Munich, Hamburgische Staatsoper, Theater an der Wien, National Opera Warsaw, Oper Frankfurt, Boston Early Music Festival, and to numerous German opera houses. Along with roles from the baroque and standard repertoire, Holger has devoted himself to contemporary opera, where he has sung leading roles in the world premieres of operas written by Peter Eötvös, Miroslav Srnka, Benoit Mernier, and Michael Wertmüller, among others. In the last years he also sung the leading roles in works of Wolfgang Rihm – Jakob Lenz at National Opera Warsaw and Dionysos at Theater Heidelberg with a nomination for "Best Performance" by OPERNWELT, while Gerard Mortier invited him to sing Cortez in Die Eroberung von Mexico at Teatro Real Madrid.
Holger is "Echo Klassik"- Award Winner 2016. His rich discography includes the complete liederistic works of Francis Poulenc and Erik Satie and a 4 CD series of the works of Hanns Eisler that is published in 2017/18.
