Michaela Šrůmová

Soprano Michaela Šrůmová was born in Prague and graduated from solo singing at the Prague Conservatoire. In the course of he studies, she also attended Summer Masterclasses of Early Music in Valtice. After graduation, she achieved success in The Ema Destinn Young Singers Award in České Budějovice. She performs at renowned music festivals throughout the Czech Republic on a regular basis and has also performed in Germany, France, Sweden, Egypt, Poland and Slovakia.Šrůmová has performed with Prague Symphony Orchestra, Czech National Symphony Orchestra, Bohuslav Martinů Philharmonic Orchestra, Janáček Philharmonic Ostrava, Czech Ensemble Baroque Orchestra and other prominent ensembles; conductors she has collaborated with include O. Dohnányi, J. Talich, T. Netopil, V. Luks, P. Vronský, M. Štryncl, O. Lenárd  or R. Jindra.She has starred in operas by L. Janáček (JenůfaKáťa Kabanová), W. A. Mozart (Idomeneo) and B. Britten (Gloriana) at the National Theatre in Prague.
