Philharmonic Hall was packed with an audience enthusiastic over the performance by the Janáček Philharmonic, conducted by Petr Kotík, and the two young Estonian singers Heldur Harry Põlda (13) and Voldemar Kauts (11), soloists in Galina Ustwolskaja' Symphony No. 1. The concert culminated with Alban Berg's Concert for Violin and Orchestra played by the great soloist Hana Kotková. This was the Janáček Philharmonic's first concert of the season.
