František Výrostko

František Výrostko was born Oct 4, 1980 in Martin, Slovakia. He studied double-bass at the Academy of Performing Arts Bratislava with prof. Radoslav Šašina. In 2006 he spent a semester in the class of prof. Frano Kakarigi in Murcia, Spain. He attended several international interpretation courses (prof. Klaus Trumpf, Miroslav Gajdoš, Uli Fusseneger). He is a member of Capella Istropolitana (SK). He cooperates with the orchestras Ostravská banda (CZ), Klangforum (A), Quaartsiluni ensemble (HU), Camerata variabile (CH), Symfonia Vienna (A), Quasars ensemble (SK). As a chamber player he performed at many significant stages like Lincoln center (NY), Carnegie Hall (NY), Conservatoire Paris, Schleswigholstein music festival, Darmstadt festival, Ultraschall festival Berlin, Prague Spring, Impuls festival Graz, Janáčkův máj, Ostrava New Music Days, Gaia- Vilnius, Beijing, Paris, Martinique, Jakarta...

He presented himself as a soloist with Ostravská banda (CZ), Quaartsiluni ensemble (HU), Quasars ensemble, Albrecht Quartet and as a member of the  Quasars ensemble with Slovak Philharmonic. The range of music he participates in, is large. Besides standard repertory he engages in contemporary art music, jazz and tango. He composed music for several theatre productions. After his literary debut From the outside an introvert, he published in 2014 a prose In their own nets.
