Aneta Podracká Bendová
Aneta Podracká Bendová has studied both music theory and musicology (at Masaryk University, Brno) and performance (singing at Janáček Academy of Performing Arts, Brno). Her collaborators include Czech Ensemble Baroque, Societas Incognitorum, Canticum Ostrava, Chorakademie Lübeck or the Brno Philharmonic; she also frequently performs with Trio BelCanto chamber ensemble and the Czech Philharmonic Brno chamber choir. She is an active lecturer. She performs at contemporary opera and music festivals including New Opera Days Ostrava (NODO), Ostrava Days, New Music Exposition, Forfest, New Music Encounters Plus and Musical Present. At the Slovak National Theatre’s Opera Studio, she has performed in G. Frid’s mono-opera The Diary of Anne Frank and taken up a double role in H. Purcell’s Dido and Aeneas. She is a member of Micro-operas, a team that enlivens public spaces in Brno with the work of contemporary composers (R. Hanousek, F. Chaloupka). With another Brno company, Hausopera, she performs as The Eternal Mrs. Palein the eponymous opera by M. Dvořáková and I. Medek. She is a member of Ensemble Opera Diversa.
