Chris Nappi
Percussionist Chris Nappi has appeared throughout Europe, Scandinavia, and the US with the S.E.M. Ensemble, Newband, The New Music Consort, Steve Reich and Musicians, Ben E. King, and John Wesley Harding. As a composer he has created music for the dance, theatrical productions and multi-media installations and has recorded for the Columbia, Ear-Rational, Mode, New Tone, Rene Block Editions, Tzadik, and Wergo labels. He serves on the faculties of East Carolina University and the Manhattan School of Music Precollege. Chris Nappi helped found Ostrava Days, and he is a long-time member (and a soloist) of Ostravská banda.
