Magdalena Maciejewska
Magda Maciejewska has created over 150 set and costume designs for theater, opera, film, music video and TV productions. She is a graduate of the Warsaw Polytechnic Institute and the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw. From 1998 to 2014, she worked with the director Grzegorz Jarzyna; her other collaborators include Krystian Lupa, Agnieszka Holland, Agnieszka Glińska, Mariusz Treliński, and others. In 2013, she began a collaboration with Pia Partum. She has worked at The National Theatre, Warsaw National Theatre Cracow, Viennese Burgtheater, Schauspiel Essen, Toneelgroep Amsterdam, Schaubühne Berlin, Lyon Opera, and Bayerische Staatsoper Munich. Performances she co-created have been performed at festivals in Avignon, Edinburgh, Moscow, Berlin, Vienna, London, New York, Pittsburgh, Düsseldorf, Vilnius, Toronto, Madrid, Los Angeles, Wellington, Adelaide, Saint Petersburg, Amsterdam, Helsinki, Lille, Dublin, and Paris.
