Ensemble of New Music Tallinn
Founded in 2012, Ensemble of New Music Tallinn (ENMT) is a platform to bring about fresh and newly perceived music to new generation of public and professionals. ENMT has had performances and collaborations with among others Universität der Künste Berlin, ISCM World Music Days, St. Petersburg International New Music Festival, CrossRoads Salzburg, Estonian Music Days, etc. As of 2017 the ensemble is making its own festival of microtonal music, titled Sound Plasma, in Berlin and Tallinn. ENMT has been responsible for Estonian, national and/or regional premiers of several milestone works by Georg Friedrich Haas, James Tenney, Alvin Lucier, Alexander Schubert to name a few. We are proud to have been responsible for commissioning and world premier performances by composers including: Klaus Lang, Dror Feiler, William Dougherty, Samuel Cedillo, Toivo Tulev, Marc Sabat, Arash Yazdani and many others. ENMT has given workshops, lectures and participated in call for scores on Universität der Künste Berlin, reMusik festival composition masterclasses, ISCM World Music Days call for scores, Estonian Academy of Music and Theatre, etc.
