Donatienne Michel-Dansac
Donatienne Michel-Dansac began her music studies (violin and piano) at the Conservatoryin Nantes. At the age of eleven she became a member of the children's choir of the Nantes Opera, where she frequently performed as a soloist; later she entered the singing class of the Paris Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique et Danse. Since her interpretation of Laborintus 2 by Luciano Berio under the direction of Pierre Boulez at the age of 21, she has received numerous international engagements: Boulez: Pli selon Pli, Schoenberg: Pierrot Lunaire, Festival d'Automne, Berlin Philharmonie, Orchestre de Paris, etc...
She has interpreted more than a hundred world premieres, among others Playing Trump by B. Lang performed at the Hamburg Opera house. She is a lecturer in singing and speaking voice at the CNSAD in Paris, and in master classes at the Mozarteum Salzburg and the UCA Berkeley. She plays as actress in movies (with directors Philippe Beziat and Erik Bullot), and appears in plays (Comédie Française) .
She was awarded the title Chevalier des Arts et lettres by the French government for her life's work.
