Ivan Palacký
Ivan Palacký – amplified Dopleta 180 knitting machine, field recordings, sound architect and collector. In the past … he was a member of the band Výkřiky břich, as well as Sledě, živé sledě trio, and Koberce, záclony / Carpets Curtains audiovisual duo (with Filip Cenek). Now, he is… an enthusiastic member of Prague Improvisation Orchestra…singer and guitarist with the band Pátí na světě … he “writes” a sound diary of his travels, collecting micro-fragments of stories, strange sounds and diverse “acoustic errors” … he enjoys taking part in short-term projects (collaborations with Cremaster duo, Will Guthrie, Ruth Barberán, Margarida Garcia, Dafne Vincente-Sandoval etc.), as well as playing solo. Since 2005, his main hobby has been “mining” sounds out of amplified single-bed knitting machines Dopleta 160 and 180.
