Helga Wretman (1985, Stockholm, Sweden) lives and works in Berlin. She is a versatile artist with a background in dance, visual performance, and stunt work. With a deep exploration of the intersections between the real and the fake, the body and technology, she has exhibited her work at renowned venues such as Moscow International Biennale for Young Art, Bundeskunsthalle Bonn, Lyon Biennale, Shirn Kunsthalle, Berlinische Galerie, and Palais de Tokyo. Alongside her artistic pursuits, Helga has also built a career as a stuntwoman, appearing as a double in notable films like The Book Thief, The Girl in the Spider’s Web, Eddie the Eagle, Hansel and Gretel: Witch Hunters, and Matrix 4. Furthermore, she has ventured into the realm of acting, having performed in Loretta Fahrenholz’s Two A.M., Shiran Eliaserov’s Inversion of a Future, and Jeremy Shaw’s Quantum Trilogy. Wretman is also the creator and presenter of the internet TV show Fitness for Artists TV on Arte Creative.
