Otto Katzameier
The Munich bass-baritone Otto Katzameier, a regular guest at the Salzburg Festival, Opéra National de Paris, Teatro della Scala Milano, Teatro la Fenice in Venice, Opéra National de Lyon, Teatro Comunale di Bologna, Teatro dell’Opera di Roma, Teatro Real Madrid, the Hamburg State Opera, the Berlin State Opera, the Lincoln Center Festival in New York, the Vienna Festival, the Bolshoi Theater in Moscow, the Munich Biennale, the festivals in Tokyo, Oslo, London, Aix-en-Provence, Buenos Aires, etc. has made a name for himself internationally, particularly in the contemporary repertoire. Opera world premieres and first performances by Beat Furrer, Jörg Widmann, Salvatore Sciarrino, Olga Neuwirth, Michael Jarrell, Aribert Reimann, Georg Friedrich Haas, among others, in productions by La Fura dels Baus, Trisha Brown, Claus Guth, Willy Decker, Andreas Kriegenburg, Stefan Herheim, Achim Freyer, etc. have characterized his work in the last years.
